IEM Seminar on Rain Water Harvesting (15th July 2010)

15th July 2010 - As Rain Water Harvesting is becoming more of a hot topic in the country, Myhomepalm Integrated Sdn Bhd was invited by Institution of Engineering, Malaysia (IEM) to give a talk on Rain Water Harvesting and Water Treatment. The response was overwhelming and generated more than 70 participants attendance.

The speakers were : Mr. Alvin Lam (Myhomepalm) and Yee Shan (Pentair, Singapore).

Some of the topics covered were the design of a proper RWH system, the calculation to size up the tank, how to measure the efficiency of the system, ROI and payback years, the right water treatment for different applications and grey water harvesting. We have also looked into some case studies of local projects as well as other countries, commissioned by Myhomepalm Integrated and Pentair/ GE Water.

World Ocean Day

In conjunction with our team building activities and the World Ocean Day, we took the opportunity to head for Perhentian Island and introduce Scuba Diving for most of the staffs. This is a way for us to learn more about the ocean and what we need to do today to preserve them for our next generation. The first day starts off with snorkelling but some were reluctant to get into the sea that is filled with so many fishes, not to mention the sharks. The scuba diving was the highlight of the trip as most of them could never imagined to get so deep underwater!
